Point Loma Real Estate

Point Loma seems somehow tucked away from the main portion of the City of San Diego. The Point Loma peninsula is a four mile stretch of land located at the entrance of the San Diego Bay. High atop a hill overlooking the San Diego bay you can see everything. From December to March, Pacific gray whales can be seen from the park's western overlooks as they make their annual migration. The area offers dramatic views of the New Point Loma Lighthouse, the Pacific Ocean, and Mexico's far-off Coronado Islands.

Loma Portal - The entry way to the northeast is adjacent to the Midway area, and the Marine Recruit Depot now under redevelopment. There are many fine older homes in this area.
La Playa - Home to the most beautiful views in the city, La Playa overlooks the marinas, the bay, the city skiline with a beautiful mountain backdrop! Most homes have lush landscaping and are usually built on the hillside.
Wooded area - At the crest of the ridge is a wooded area along Catalina Street with many beautiful homes. The homes may feature ocean or bay views depending on the side of the ridge they are on.
Sunset Cliffs - This spectacular sloping neighborhood includes almost 1,000 acres of view homes extending down to the bluffs aslong the seashore. The sunsets are among the finest in the world - hence the name. The shore is dotted with cliffs, canyons, and small sandy areas.
